The Renaissance fair just outside the Phoenix in Apache Junction is always a wonder site for photographers.  You have a tongue-in-cheek approach to the middle ages which is always fun.  However, the photo ops are tremendous because of the period costumes and re-creations.  The problem is to keep modern references out of the photos.
